Best Tablet PC For The Holidays 2011 by Legootech
The holiday season is around the corner and still wondering what to buy? Technology is always a dependable choice as it makes for a great gift and is also useful. Well, if you are a gadget person and still searching for that perfect gift, then look no further. Tablets are the flavor of the season and are here to stay. But then again, tablet PC does not only mean an Apple iPad. Before jumping on to The Ipad bandwagon, take a look at its bunch of rivals. The market is today filled with tablets with several companies launching their own answer to iPad. And most of them have chosen Android as the preferred platform for their tablet PCs.
As per Forbes reports, for the electronic giant Best Buy, tablet PCs are going to be the focus of this holiday season. While Apple and Dell’s products are already in the market, a new range of tablets from Acer and Research In Motion are expected to hit the market during the holiday season. Another batch of tablets are expected to be introduced in January 2011. Streak – a 5 inch tablet PC from Dell running on an older version of Android was regarded as too expensive for its small size, but there is also a 7 inch Android Tablet coming up from the company.
In answer to Apple’s iPad, HP announced its own tablet running on Windows 7 called ‘Slate’. Equipped with USB ports it can be connected to printers and is particularly suited for business purposes. Samsung’s 7 inch Galaxy Tab is a real competition for Apple’s iPad. Navigation, eReading, video conferencing, browser and augmented reality are some of the main features of The Galaxy Tab. Its 7 inch screen is a sharp contrast to iPad’s 9.7 inch screen and that too with the same resolution. But the icing on the cake is the dual camera. That is not all the Galaxy Tab also includes a removable memory card and a Flash media player.
Running on the Android 2\.2 platform, Toshiba’s Folio 100 tablet has a 10.1 inch touchscreen. Priced at $329, it is cheaper than both the Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab. Running on NVidia Tegra 2 processor, the tablet PC has a storage capacity of 16 GB, which can be expanded to 32GB with a SD memory card. It includes a range of connectivity options including Bluetooth, WI-FI and USB 2.0 and also supports Flash 10.1.
Finding a good Tablet Pc Comparison might be hard to come by this early but there are plenty of options out there. Other laptop manufacturers like Lenovo, Acer and Asus have announced plans of launching their own range of tablet PCs by early 2011. Rumors are also abuzz of Apple developing three new iPads in the sizes of 5.6 inch, 7 inch and 9.7 inch having OLED displays and may be also two cameras for Face-Time compatibility. But for this holiday season, the Apple iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab are the best buying options for tablet PCs.
The best tablet PC might be tough to call but there are great options to shop for this holiday season.
